SIGN THE CIVICS EDUCATION PETITION:

Under our Plan, our first order of business will be aimed at getting civics education added to our public schools. We will Petition for Redress of Government’s violation of Section 801.2 of the State Education Law which reads:

2. The regents shall prescribe courses of instruction in the history, meaning, significance and effect of the provisions of the constitution of the United States, the amendments thereto, the declaration of independence, the constitution of the state of New York and the amendments thereto, to be maintained and followed in all of the schools of the state. The boards of education and trustees of the several cities and school districts of the state shall require instruction to be given in such courses, by the teachers employed in the schools therein.  All pupils attending such schools, in the eighth and higher grades, shall attend upon such instruction.

This law, passed in the 1940s has never been followed.

The current Social Studies curriculum gives scant attention to the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution and does not mention the NY State Constitution. It’s as if Government, a principal educator of our youth, does not want the People to know that they, the People, have the ultimate power in our society, not Government, that Government is designed to be a servant government, set up to secure the Rights of the People, no more, no less, as expressed in the Charters of Freedom.

Consequently, rising generation after generation are not anchored to our fundamental principles of liberty and freedom through limited government and equal justice for all and would not know if the Government had stepped outside the boundary the People have drawn around its power.

This must change: it’s up to We the People; the hour is late.

Read and sign the Civics Education Petition and bring this website and the Petition to the attention of many other citizens of New York State.

JOIN UP! BECOME A SUPPORTING MEMBER OF WTP-NY

Our Plan includes 9 Regional and 62 County Coordinators, hundreds of trained Constitutional Monitors, a fully staffed Citizen Vigilance Center and an “army” – – a critical mass of supporting members, who stand ready to put a collective foot down, engaging in non-violent civic action, such as “redress before taxes,” when called upon to do so in the wake of Government’s refusal to provide a meaningful response to a proper Petition for Redress of its violation of the Rule of Law.

The success of the Plan depends ultimately on whether or not the Government develops a respect for the People and their Charters of Freedom. Without a critical mass of supporting members so determined to peaceably take back their Government there can be no expectation of such respect and thus no hope for a bright future for our beloved Constitution and Republic.

The Plan includes a Budget. Given the key to success – the importance of the “army,” it is imperative that we raise the money, not by large donations from a few, but by $25 from 100,000 or more citizens from across the State who are willing to engage in non-violent civic action against a Government who has violated their Rights and then refused to respond to a First Amendment Petition for Redress of the Grievance.
